To mark European Heritage Days, come and visit the Hoche Sixth Form College’s history museum

This exhibition showcases remarkable items from Abbé Nollet’s collection and the Count of Artois’s cabinet of curiosities.

The themed tour explores a variety of fields, ranging from educational works to historical calculating instruments, such as abacuses, slide rules and early calculators. The science section features a selection of instruments used in physics (dynamometers, telescopes, heliostats) and chemistry (specialised glassware), complemented by a collection of specimens from the life and earth sciences, including Dr Auzoux’s anatomical models, osteological and naturalised collections, as well as a geological study of the subsoil beneath Versailles.
